Maitre De Foods was established in the early 1970’s by Keith & Lesley Johnstone, Directors of Mid West Manufacturers (Australia) Pty Ltd.  This family owned company established niche wholesale markets for frozen and heat ‘n’ serve food products distributed throughout Australia.

In January 2006 Maitre De Foods was acquired by Hazeldene’s, a prominent family owned business with more than 50 years experience in the poultry industry.

Maitre De Foods processing operations are located in Colac, Victoria, with the production team supported by administration and marketing teams at Hazeldene’s Head Office at Lockwood, Bendigo.
